The Kegre is AdvGear's most comfortable plastic mountaineering boot. It incorporates Y-Technology which combines two different plastic durometers in the shell for maximum walking flexibility. A Vario Hinge is used to allows ankle mobility. It is softer than the Vertical and Arctis Expe, making it ideal for winter mountain climbing, and glacier walking.

It also performs nicely for easier to intermediate ice climbing where only short vertical sections are encountered. AdvGear rates the Kegre to -40f.
